I did manage to catch “The Road” last week. It didn’t have quite the same intensity as the book but it’s well-made and worth seeing. The world presented is actually bleaker than the one I imagined in the novel (if that’s possible). It’s a great survival tale and, yeah, a little depressing. John Hillcoat’s previous movie, “The Proposition” was one of my favorite films of 2005.
I caught the latest Coen brothers film last week. A must see if you’re intrigued by Schrödinger’s cat or good movies.
Talk about depressing.
I’d love to port Mocha to Android but Verizon tells me I have to wait eight months to be eligible for a new phone. I’ve had Verizon for years so I was a little grumpy about the whole thing. Perhaps this would be a good time to mention I have trouble getting a signal at my local Target.
